Education & courses in compliance and financial law

Knowledge needs to be up to date

In compliance and financial law, it is important to be updated in order to do a good job. This can be related to new regulation, how digitization and automation affect the business, or a need for new control mechanisms and working practices.

The Apriori team are happy to share our knowledge with you and often carry out training with our clients as well as together with various training companies and organisations. During the course sessions, we share our experience from operational work in compliance, the relationship with government authorities, as well as practical advice, with regards to the implementation and interpretation of legal code.

MEET THE REGULATORY PREREQUISITES

All of our courses and training sessions are formed to make sure that the course participants are ready to work in roles that are subject to regulatory knowledge requirements.

SEASONED TEACHERS

Our course leaders are used to giving training courses and are often appreciated by the participants for their deep knowledge and commitment to learning.

OPERATIONAL EXPERIENCE

All of our instructors have many years of experience, which provides an understanding of the multitude of situations that can arise when regulation is put into practice.

In-house training events

Internal training courses are often tailored based on our clients' needs. This may apply to a workshop where a concrete issue is to be addressed or to raise the competence of a department in a specific area, such as e.g. measures against money laundering or questions about advisory documentation. Popular topics for in-house training sessions are:

• How does digitization affect control functions in a financial company?

• Combating money laundering in practice

• The role of compliance in financial companies

• Advisory responsibility and documentation of investment advice

• Trends and developments in compliance and financial law

• Ethics and market conduct

• Identification and management of conflicts of interest

• Regulatory information that is tailored to the specific company

Courses

We hold several training courses annually via external actors and welcome more initiatives to share our knowledge and increase the competence of financial companies and institutes. Our partners in this area include BG Institute and VJS Forum.

Our training methodology

In order for our training to be beneficial for all participants we have put a great deal of emphasis on the methodology that we have developed with our training packages. The following is an outline of our vision of how the courses get as productive and rewarding as possible.

1

THEORY

Usually the courses begin with a theoretical overlook, where we ensure that all students receive basic knowledge and a fundament to stand on.

2

DISCUSSION

During the training we usually have several exercises, including a section in which the participants are active participate in discussions to deepen their knowledge further.

3

PRACTICAL EXAMPLES

We think it is important that when we educate, theory should be grounded in in practical examples. Therefore, we often include scenarios from real-world examples.
