Whistleblowing is about employees within companies, organizations or authorities being given the opportunity to inform management that something improper or illegal is happening in an organization. The purpose is thus to detect malpractices in the workplace. This is done most easily through a whistleblower solution, where employees safely and completely anonymously can report wrongdoing.

Companies with at least 50 employees must introduce internal reporting channels to facilitate alert systems and special channels to government authorities must be established for whistleblowing in certain areas. You must also have the opportunity to blow the whistle through special channels to the responsible authorities in specific areas. The whistleblower system must be accessible to a broad group of individuals and is also mandated to protect them from reprisals.
Unlike an internal reporting channel, an external reporting channel enables workers to raise the alarm to agencies designated by the government. An external reporting channel can receive, follow up, and provide feedback on reports of misconduct in specific areas. Anyone who wants to blow the whistle can do so directly to an external reporting channel, i.e. without first sounding the alarm to internal reporting channels.

Confidentiality
As lawyers we are obliged to observe confidentiality when reporting. Your personal data will not be forwarded to Lidl without your consent. We will verify all information reported. In the event that it can be established that a compliance violation exists, we will forward this information to Lidl's compliance department. We encourage everyone to use this reporting channel responsibly.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO REPORT?

The following are examples that may be subject to reporting:
– Financial crime such as bribery, fraud, forgery.
Competition and cartel violations.
– Breach of data protection legislation.
– Violations regarding accounting, finance, and taxation.
– Significant violations in workplace safety.
– Significant breaches of environmental law or environmental pollution.
– Serious instances of discrimination or harassment.

WHAT YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO REPORT VIA APRIORI

Matters regarding bullying, dissatisfaction with pay, etc., should not be reported to us, but rather they should be reported through Lidl's normal communication channels.

PRIVACY

Som advokater är vi skyldiga att iaktta sekretess vid rapporteringen. Dina personuppgifter kommer inte att vidarebefordras till Lidl utan ditt uttryckliga medgivande. Vi kommer att verifiera samtliga uppgifter som rapporterats in. För det fall det kan konstateras att ett regelefterlevnadsbrott föreligger kommer vi att vidarebefordra denna information till bolagets compliance-avdelning.
